March to May Marathon Swim!

On Christmas Day 2021, my 55 year old younger sister, Bharati Angela Jariwala, died of Pancreatic Cancer.  The first indications were in November 2019, but she wasn’t diagnosed for another 6 months. She went through 18 months of chemo and radio therapy.

Angela was very much into fitness. When we both lived at home, we used to jog together. In 2001 Angela entered the New York Marathon, she even raised funds for Cancer UK on a night time marathon walk.

The key word for me is Marathon. I am a regular morning swimmer at my local baths, swimming over a mile during each session. I want to swim 26 miles over a course of 3 months in order to raise funds for awareness and research.

I want to fund raise for Pancreatic Cancer Action (PCA) and Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund (PCRF).
